Light: Place your poinsettia in a bright place where it will get a lot of light.

Temperature: Keep your poinsettia in a warm place, away from drafty areas and heat sources. They thrive best at about 20 degrees Celcius.​​

Water: Poinsettias do not like to be too wet or too dry. The best way to decide if your poinsettia needs water is to pick it up. If it feels light, then water moderately. Pick it up again after watering and take note of how heavy it feels. Water again only when it feels light when you pick it up. Be sure to drain any excess water that may pool underneath your poinsettia after watering, as they do not like to sit in a puddle of water.
